CHANGE, CANCELLATION AND NO SHOW POLICY
For sedan, SUV and van transfer service, a change fee or late cancellation fee of the estimated amount of services will be charged if services are changed or canceled within 2 hours of the scheduled pick-up time.
For sedan, SUV and van hourly service, a change fee or late cancellation fee of the estimated amount of services will be charged if services are changed or canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled pick-up time.
For any minibus service, a change fee or late cancellation fee of the estimated amount of services will be charged if services are changed or canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled pick-up time.
For multiple-vehicle services (4 or more vehicles of any size reserved for the same pick-up time), a change fee or late cancellation fee of the estimated amount of services will be charged if services are changed or canceled within 7 days of the scheduled pick-up time.
A no show fee equal to the transfer rate or reserved hourly service, as applicable, will be charged for the confirmed vehicle should the passenger fail to cancel or meet the chauffeur at the designated pick-up location for all reservations.* If you experience difficulty locating your chauffeur, please call Dispatch at 504-523-5466. Leaving the pick-up location without notifying Carey New Orleans will result in a no-show fee.
* Applies to all sedan, SUV, limousine and van reservations where the pick-up location is within the local city metropolitan area. All services outside the local city metropolitan area may be assessed the actual drive time to/from the pick-up location.
NOTE: All Special Event Change and Cancellation Policies supersede standard Change and Cancellation Policies.
Rates quoted prior to service are only an initial estimate of the cost of services reserved. Wait time and/or additional services may change the final price.
Garage-to-Garage means charges are calculated by applying the applicable hourly rate commencing from the time the chauffeur departs the garage to begin service and continuing through such time the chauffeur concludes service and returns to the garage. The minimum number of billable hours appears in the estimate, however the actual billable hours may exceed the minimum.
Service outside of Jefferson and Orleans Parish is based on that vehicle’s hourly minimum and will utilize “garage-to-garage time.” A 2% LPSC Tax is applied to the base rate for all trips outside of Jefferson and Orleans Parish but within the state of Louisiana.
Wait Time – Airport Transfer
Wait time is not charged for commercial flights unless customers choose to deviate from proceeding to the stated customer/chauffeur meeting location. In such instances, wait time beyond twenty (20) minutes will incur the transfer base charge plus the hourly charge prorated in fifteen (15) minute intervals.
Wait Time – Point-to-Point Transfer
Customers are permitted twenty (20) minutes of wait time after the scheduled pickup time. Wait time beyond the twenty (20) minutes will incur the transfer base charge plus the hourly charge prorated in fifteen (15) minute intervals.
Surface Transportation Charge (STC)
STC is a surcharge based upon various overhead expense items, some of which may not relate to the specific trip. The STC is always calculated as a flat percentage of the base rate.
Incidentals include chauffeur hotel accommodations and meals for extended service, greeter fee, parking, port fee, special requests and tolls. Incidentals will be added to the final invoice.
For sedan, limousine and SUV services in the United States and Canada, the Fuel Surcharge is calculated based on the Energy Information Agency’s (EIA’s) published fuel pricing forecasts. Quoted amount may differ from billed amount based on forecast in effect when services are provided. Fuel surcharges for specialty vehicles, including vans, minibuses and motor coaches, will vary.
Multiple flights in a “point-to-point” arrival service are not recommended and requests for this service may not always be granted. If requested, there will be a $45 additional charge plus any wait time. In addition, “asap/on demand” vehicles are not guaranteed. Client assumes full responsibility.
Extra Stops During Transfer Service
Passengers who make one stop en route from the pick-up location to the drop-off location which does not exceed fifteen (15) minutes during a transfer will be assessed a $35 extra stop fee. If the stop exceeds fifteen (15) minutes, the passenger will be charged the transfer rate plus the hourly rate for the vehicle in fifteen (15) minute increments up to forty-five (45) minutes for the time that the chauffeur waits. If there is more than one stop or if the one stop lasts more than forty-five (45) minutes, the transfer service will convert to hourly service.
Late Night/ Early Morning Driver Greet Surcharge
There will be a $25 late night/early morning surcharge for any trips which require a driver greet between 12am and 5am, whether scheduled or as a result of a delay.
Child Safety Seats
For safety reasons of providing age and weight appropriate equipment, Carey New Orleans does not provide child safety or booster seats. However, customers may provide and install their own child safety or booster seats.
When a chauffeur is parked and waiting for passengers, at any time a city employee may request that our chauffeur move the vehicle. The chauffeur must comply with the city employee’s instructions or be subject to ticketing. If the client insists that the chauffeur stay in position, the fine(s) will be added to the client’s final bill.
Our chauffeurs may not commit a moving violation at the passenger or client’s request.
Carey New Orleans is not responsible for road closures and delays due to special events/occasions. We recommend a police escort for services that require entry into or near parade and special event zones. This service must be contracted separately by the client.
When weather forecasting affects the transportation of a group, a member of the Carey Team will reach out to the client to discuss rescheduling transportation. Changes are subject to availability and to the change/cancellation policy listed in these Terms & Conditions.
Cancellation by Service Provider
Carey New Orleans reserves the right to cancel service if the weather forecast predicts that the chauffeur may not safely reach the pick-up point or drop-off point. This cancellation will result in no bill. Service may be rescheduled and is subject to availability.
Carey New Orleans cannot predict all road closures. Dispatch regularly checks traffic conditions and provides service notices to chauffeurs. When road closures are not made readily apparent to the public, Carey New Orleans does not take responsibility for delays and service disruptions.
Airport Service Disruptions
New Orleans International Airport (MSY) does not close due to weather. As such, Carey New Orleans is not responsible for delayed or canceled departing flights. Carey New Orleans does not track departing flight times and will pick up the passenger according to the scheduled pick-up time. Clients/passengers may reschedule the pick-up time, subject to availability and to the change/cancellation policy listed in these Terms & Conditions.
Smoking in for-hire vehicles is prohibited by law in accordance with Sec. 66-72 of New Orleans City Code.
Lost or Misplaced Items
Carey New Orleans is not responsible for lost or misplace items.
